One of my favorite jobs of all times: working for the Greatest Band on Earth, Poets of the Fall. Our friendship and collaboration started with a TV interview in 2004, but as I fell in love with their music and their personalities quicksand fast, it all grew from there.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Poets of the Fall 20th Anniversary promotional photo

For the past 15+ years I’ve been photographing these guys a lot.

Aside from the live photos, my work includes still & making of photography at their videoshoots, documenting the tours and backstage life, product photos of their official merchandise, digital greeting cards, album cover materials… you name it.

Social Media & COMMUNITY

I (mostly) manage the band’s social media channels, and we plan and execute all content as a team. I read and reply to fan feedback and questions, and keep the band members updated on any relevant questions, fun comments, fan art and such.

I’m also an active member on two of the biggest Poets of the Fall fan communities on Facebook and help out with live chats & such.

music videos

I loooove the video shooting days! That’s when we all get together with the band and a small video crew, and it’s all about great creative minds working as a team.

Aside from shooting stills, my helping hands are usually needed in location scouting & resourcing, casting, make-up, lighting, set decorating or things like flying a kite or working the smoke machine.

In Requiem for My Harlequin I even have a small (but dramatic!) role.

I’ve done some filming and editing too, but the biggest video credits in the past few years go to director Miika Hakala and Poets’ very own Markus “Captain” Kaarlonen.
